Sensmet has become a part of AMET research consortium to develop new process monitoring and control solutions for the metallurgical industry. The project develops industrial scale process monitoring and expert systems for selected processes in steel making. The solutions to be developed are not limited to the production of steel but are applicable to a wider range of metallurgical and industrial processes. Platform-based monitoring and control solutions employing artificial intelligence (AI) significantly add the value that SMEs can bring to the end users.
Sensmet develops its new real-time process water analyser to produce big water data and applies advanced data processing algorithms to secure the reliability of the data in challenging industrial conditions.
The project brings together SMEs, research organisations and industrial end users. The AMET partners are Sensmet Oy, Sapotech Oy, Kaltio Technologies Oy, Luxmet Oy, Quva Oy, University of Oulu, Åbo Akademi, Ovako Imatra Oy and SSAB Europe Oy. AMET project is funded by Business Finland and the project partners and its budget totals nearly 6 million euros.
